School

So I'd been kicking around the idea of enrolling my son in an hourly learning center, so that he could get a chance to socialize with other children and learn some new things. Let me say that I was extremely hesitant about this because I worked in childcare for over 7 years and I just think I may know too much. Now, not all programs are alike and for my boy it was only a couple to a few hours a day AT MOST, so I decided to give it a try. I think it was an awesome idea and I am so glad we got him in. He of course gets really upset when I have to leave, (as do I), but by the time I come to pick him up and take him home, I always see him sitting quietly with this classmates eating lunch or drawing a picture, and it makes it all worth it to see him engaged in a fun activity, when I feel like I am pretty boring comparatively. And though I hate to admit it, it was nice today to get an hour run/walk in before I picked him, (almost a half-hour early, I might add). I missed him very much today, though. Now he is sleeping softly in his crib from listening to two stories before bedtime, and then being lulled asleep by Clair de Lune and other classical masterpieces. I hope he enjoyed his day.
